AI in Education
AI tool use among Bangladeshi secondary and higher secondary students: informal channels, ethical reasoning, and the institutional policy vacuum.
The research question
Students are using AI tools before institutions have established clear rules for them. My study asks how students actually use those tools, where they learn about them, how they think about ethical use, and how they respond to a policy vacuum.
Design & contribution
I designed the survey instrument, gathered responses from 278 students, conducted inferential statistical analysis, and wrote the manuscript as first author. The work focuses on secondary and higher-secondary students in Bangladesh and is being conducted under the Notre Dame Nature Study Club.
From a clinical internship to an independent study
The IPDI internship gave me experience with data preparation, statistical analysis, and manuscript development. I applied that foundation to a question at the intersection of AI, education, and governance.
Publication status
The research is not presented as an accepted journal article. The study description and personal contributions are available here while the manuscript is being prepared.
